Can I use the No Orange shampoo and No Yellow shampoo together?

Yes, you can, if you have both yellow tones in your hair and brassy tones. Then you can mix our No Orange and No Yellow shampoo together. For instance, if you have a balayage. Alternatively, you could use our No Yellow shampoo to neutralise the yellow tones. Then our No Orange mask to banish brassy tones.

What would be better for my hair? No Yellow, or No Orange?

No Yellow

The No Yellow Shampoo is designed specifically for blonde, bleached and lightened hair. It has a powerful violet pigment that neutralises yellow tones in the hair.

No Orange

The No Orange Shampoo is ideal for dark blonde hair for levels 7.5 to 8.5. It can also be used for bleached level 9 hair and above to achieve an icy blue effect. The shampoo contains a blue pigment which banishes brassy, red-copper or orange tones from the hair.

Can I apply No Orange/No Yellow Shampoo to dry hair?

We wouldn’t recommend applying our toning shampoo to dry hair, as this can cause overtoning, which can result in your hair looking dull.

Why has the No Orange/No Yellow grabbed more on certain parts of my hair?

When using our toning shampoos, it all depends on your hair type and because everyone’s hair is different. We advise doing a strand test first to see the results. If your hair is highly porous, the pigment in the shampoo can grab more. Not to worry, as it is only a toning shampoo, so the results are temporary. If you want to speed up the process, you should use a clarifying shampoo.

Does Fanola have any ‘bulk buys’ for hairstylists?

Yes, we do. On our website, under the category ‘Hair Colour,’ you will find our colour kits. These kits have been specifically put together with salons and hairstylists in mind. The kits all contain an incredible saving.

Does Fanola have student discount?

Of course, we do. Students get 10% off with Student Beans.

What is the Incredible Foam used for?

The Incredible Foam is a purple pigmented, toning mousse conditioner. It is perfect for blonde, bleached, highlighted and grey hair. The lightweight foam formula is particularly suitable for fine hair and leaves your locks feeling soft, shiny and silky.

What order should I be applying my hair care products?

  1. Shampoo
  2. Toning Shampoo
  3. Conditioner or Hair Mask
  4. Hair care products
  5. Styling products

Do I need to use a conditioner as well as a hair mask?

No, not really. Hair masks provide your hair with enough moisture and hydration your hair needs. So, you don’t need to apply a conditioner as well.

How often should I be using a toning shampoo?

We recommend using a toning shampoo every third wash. However, you may find that your hair doesn’t need it that much. Therefore, you should monitor your hair.
