Meet Our New Fanola Ambassador Jake

Meet Jake, a 14-year-old aspiring hairdresser who is already making waves in the hair industry. If you head over to his Instagram @hairstylesbyjake. You will see his hairstyling work and educational tutorials he has attended online with other hairstylists. He has only just turned 14 and he has already secured a job at a salon near him. We are totally in awe of his determination to follow his dreams and how passionate he is about hairdressing. He has inspired each one of us at Fanola HQ. This is why we had to make Jake a Fanola ambassador. We sent Jake our Free Paint Collection, which are semi-permanent hair dyes and of course, he did an amazing job! Make sure you head over to his TikTok and take a look at how he used them.

What inspired you to want to become a hairdresser?

What inspired me the most was making people happy. The best part of hairdressing to me is that I get to make someone’s day by doing their hair. I get to see their reaction and how happy they are. That’s what inspired me to become a hairdresser.

What are your aspirations for the future?

My aspirations for the future are to be a celebrity hairdresser and hair colourist. I want to have my own product line and salon in the heart of New York.

Do you have any favourite hairstylists that inspire you?

I aspire to be like Guy Tang. He is an amazing hair colourist and hairdresser. He has inspired me to learn everything about hairdressing.

What is your favourite Fanola product?

It is a hard one as I love every product I’ve tried. But it would have to be the Fanola No Yellow Shampoo as it leaves my hair perfectly toned every time and makes my hair feel soft and healthy.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

My dream in ten years is to travel the world doing people’s and celebrity’s hair. To own a product line and be a Fanola artist.

You are already extremely talented at styling hair and updos! What is your favourite style/styles you have created on your doll heads so far?

One of my favourite looks I have done was using the Fanola Free Paint to create an amazing split hair colour.

I also really enjoy trying out new curling techniques and styles.

We love your determination to learn and have seen that you have already taken part in some Instagram lives with different hairstylists. How did you first begin learning? Did you watch tutorials or?

When I first began learning, I watched lots of YouTube videos, and one of my friends taught me how to do a braid, and I would braid everything!

We already know that Jake will achieve brilliant things when he is older, and we can’t wait to see where his hairdressing journey takes him. Now that you have read about Jake’s dream. Go and show him some love on his social media pages and make sure you are following him on Instagram and TikTok for updates.
