Hair conditioner

Conditioning is a very important and crucial step for any hair care routine. Especially as it has two important purposes which ensure hydrated locks and more importantly healthy hair. The first step is to protect the hair. When conditioner is applied, it coats the cuticle in a protective seal which helps to prevent damage from external elements such as pollution, sun, and heat damage. The second step is to condition the hair. Whilst the product is protecting the cuticle, it also penetrates through to nourish the hair strands from within, leaving it moisturised and strengthened. Conditioner will also impart a gorgeous and glossy finish.

No matter your hair type, conditioning your hair is important, no matter your hair type. But it’s equally important that you keep your hair type in mind when selecting your conditioner. For damaged and colour-treated hair, an intensely nourishing and deep treatment will be more beneficial than using double the amount of a lighter formulation. Whereas, for fine and thin hair, we recommend a lightweight and volumising conditioner which will nourish hair without weighing it down.

Who should use conditioner?

We suggest that anyone who washes their hair should probably also use a conditioner. While your head produces its own natural conditioner called sebum, shampoo removes it.

Especially dry hair should be regularly treated with conditioner, as should hair that’s frequently styled with hot tools, permed, or colored.

Benefits of conditioning your hair

Generally speaking conditioners allow your hair to keep growing and not break easily. A further primary benefit of a conditioner is that it makes the hair much easier to comb through, though. Additionally conditioners also smooth the hair, detangle it, increase shine, reduce frizz, and make it feel nicer to touch.

When to use conditioner on hair?

You should be using a conditioner every time you wash your hair with a shampoo . Apply conditioner to your hair after you have washed it thoroughly using shampoo. Squeeze as much water as possible out of your hair to enable the strands to absorb the conditioner. Use a liberal amount and run your hands through your hair, concentrating on the ends and lightly massaging the scalp with your fingertips. Let the conditioner rest in your hair for a few minutes. This gives it time to work its magic and nourish your locks. If your hair is particularly knotty, this is a good time to comb it through. The conditioner will act as a detangling lotion.

Once your hair has absorbed the conditioner, rinse your hair thoroughly. Dry and style, as you wish.
